Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
The tool requires six inputs: gender, birth date, your health status, tobacco use, coverage amount, and term length. That's sufficient to get quotes back from our carriers. More personal details including name and address are only requested if you decide to proceed with an application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The rates shown are what the carriers quote for your chosen health tier. After you apply, the carrier determines your actual rate class through underwriting, which could confirm, improve, or change it. Quotes on this site are estimates for comparison purposes and not a guarantee or offer.
What happens when I click Apply?
Select a carrier from the list and choose Apply. Your application opens in a secure form that already has your six answers filled in. You can save and resume later. When you're ready, you electronically sign to complete it. Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed broker (License 0B75129), handles all applications.
Will I need a medical exam?
This depends on your carrier choice, the coverage amount, and your health profile. Many carriers today offer immediate decisions for eligible applicants through accelerated underwriting, which often skips the exam. Each quote tells you whether an exam is mandatory, possible, or unnecessary for that specific product.
Is a longer term better?
Consider the years when dependents rely on your income: a mortgage in progress, kids at home, education costs ahead. Term length is up to you. Extending the term keeps the monthly cost down when you're younger, which helps you secure enough coverage now. The quotes let you compare 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year options.
Does this site sell my information?
We don't buy, sell, or trade visitor information. The quote form doesn't collect contact details. Analytics on this site are cookieless and privacy-respecting. Review our privacy page for the complete breakdown of what we collect and who sees it.
